Tha Vill
Hailing from Chicago, Tha Vill gained international exposure when his music caught the attention of Canadian label GCP. Upon release in August of 2010, Vill’s mixtape Approaching Earth received 105,000 downloads within the first 10 days. He really started gaining momentum when his single “Ride It” was in constant rotation on top Canadian music video channels. It is now one of the most requested songs in Canada.
Vill’s current release “More Than Friends” has been taking over dance floors across the U.K. and has reached the Top 10 on DMC’s R&B and Club charts. It was also a number one hit on Australia’s ZFM. His underground hit “California Dreams,” featuring The Game, currently has over one million downloads.
His talent and buzz has led some of his music to be heard on television shows featured on MTV, FOX TV, and VH1. Recently, Vill had a single featured in the movie “How To Make Love To A Woman.” He was also the first Urban/Pop artist to become the face of a network station ID in a major market, specifically for KTLA Tribune.
Tha Vill’s songwriting incorporates an urban/hip-hop foundation with melodic flows, cementing his chart topping qualities. His tracks range from urban/pop love songs to hard hip-hop to dance club hits. It’s no wonder why his music is catching on in so many countries across the globe.
